Devised Works

"I Am" The Story of Sylvia Plath

Three Sisters: A Modern Adaptation
Have you ever wondered what happened to Irina, Masha, and Olga after the end of Three Sisters? Well I certainly have, so I directed an ensemble of three brilliant women to see how these sisters healed after 4 years of love, loss, and disappointment. This was an interactive devised show that took place in a record shop, with the premise of throwing Irina a surprise party (she doesn't take it well). This piece was devised around the central question, "what does healing look like?"
The Adventures of Life (But Mostly Childhood)
A devised show created for my theatre capstone project at Butler University.
I worked with a cast of 10 children ranging in age from eight to 13. One child's parent joined the cast, and I also integrated a cast of four Butler Theatre students. Together, we created a 40 minute show exploring the topic, "what is childhood?"
My main goal with this production was to engage children in a creative process that puts the power in their hands.
Okay - A Devised Theatre Piece
Created as a final project for my Freshman year Devised Theatre Seminar, taught by William Fisher.
I Went to the Store One Day
A piece I created for my final project in lighting class Sophomore year, based on the song "I Went to the Store One Day" by Father John Misty
